A salaried employee who received a payment due to a work injury (such as work-injury allowance, grant or compensation) - may be entitled to the payment of differentials in the following cases:
- After receiving a payment by the National Insurance, the employer gave you an additional payment (such as convalescence, clothes, bonus) in the 11 months since the month of first eligibility for the allowance, which pertains to the period upon which the allowance is calculated.
Entitlement to differentials is granted if the payment amount is higher than 25% of the minimum wage - NIS 1,470 (as of Apr 01, 2024). - The employer paid you wage differentials, for the month of the injury or for the three months preceding the date of the injury.
Submitting a claim for payment of differentials
To receive the differentials to which you are entitled, one must fill out a claim for payment of differentials, and send it together with required documents to the handling branch directly, by means of the document delivery service on the website.
Documents to be attached to the claim:
Pay slip from the employer mentioning the additional payment or the differentials paid to you. You can ask your employer to issue a Form 100 instead of pay slips.
Please note that if you received differentials from several employers - you need to attach authorizations from each employer separately.
The claim must be submitted within 12 months since the day of payment of differentials by the employer. We will not be able to pay any differential if the claim is submitted beyond this 12 months time limit.
